Get a Blog Introduction with a one column in a two column page

  • Hello,

    I am using Atmosphere 2010. I have altered the theme a bunch on my local server.

    I want to create a blog intro box above the two columns like on https://socialtriggers.com/.

    I am using Jussi’s https://jussi.ruokomaki.fi/tech/wp-blog-introduction/comment-page-3/#comment-18650, which adds a page just before the first blog post…

    However, I want it to be independent of the blog content with side menu’s.

    I really don’t know how to do coding, I mostly just try stuff in dreamweaver on my files and undo, refresh my site, and try again to figure out how to change things…I am afraid this one seems a little bit more complex for a noobie boobie like me.

    Any help would be really appreciate.

  • Hello, I had the exact same problem and just find a way to resolve it.

    In your website files :
    wp-content/your theme/index.php(or the page where you want to display the introduction)
    Just add this following line above the container with the 2 columns:

    <?php bintro_print(); ?>

    Ex:

    <big container>
<?php bintro_print(); ?>
 <container>
  <column1></column1>
  <column2></column2>
 </container>
</big container>
