• Hello,

I have a couple of live sites that I can no longer login to.

When attempting to login, I enter the username and password, click the login button and then after some time get the following message:

    “Request Timeout
This request takes too long to process, it is timed out by the server. If it should not be timed out, please contact administrator of this website to increase ‘Connection Timeout’.”

Both sites display perfectly well when not logged in.

I’ve tried renaming the plugins directory to make sure there isn’t a plugin causing the issue.

    Just wondering what to do?

    Just following up.

I spoke to the hosting company and they tell me that the site’s IP address has changed. Apparently it still works when viewing the site as the old address is forwarded to the new one. Not sure why it doesn’t work when logging in though.

Anyway, I’ve updated the IP address and everything is working fine.

I don’t recall seeing a notification that the IP address would be changing, that’s something I need to follow up on and ensure that this doesn’t happen again.

    Best Regards,

    Steve
