Get all subsite posts to show on main site in multisite

I’m planning to switch to multisite. I want to create a subsite for each category.

I want the main page to show compilation of latest posts across all subsites. So, when users click on category in the blog feed, it leads to the subsite.

i want the blog feed layout to be: Masonry – 2 columns.

is that possible? Thank you.
