upon successful donation when users are taken to the Payment Successful Redirect, I want to display our form to opt in to the newsletter with their email address prefilled. Is there a way within the widget I can tell it to pass the email input value to the redirect url as a parameter ? Im assuming this widget is an iframe so trying to access the info from a JavaScript file/The DOM isn’t going to work

    Hi @edicodesign,

Glad you reached out! Happy to clarify.

Yes, you are correct. Our forms load in an iframe to prevent WordPress themes from affecting it. This also makes it trickier to customize it.

Currently, though, this is not possible. However, there’s a feature request for what you’re asking about: https://feedback.givewp.com/feature-requests/p/pass-parameters-and-prefill-the-field-on-custom-redirect-page.

We are actively tracking user feedback to understand further the needs you all have. You can use the link to check in for updates or to provide additional details of your own. I would encourage you to comment on that post about the impact this would have on your organization. Information like that is always helpful for our teams to see. I’ve also linked your ticket internally, so if this feature request is developed, we can reach out to update you.

Give the post above a look, and let me know if there are any additional details you would like me to add. I want to ensure your need is as accurately reflected as possible, and I’m happy to include an internal note to our teams with any specific information you would like them to have.

Should you want to accomplish this now, this might require a bit of customization.? We ourselves don’t work with customizations, but when our users require customizations, we always encourage them to reach out to?Codeable.io?because they are WordPress experts and there are dozens of developers with experience in customizing GiveWP.

Please let me know if you have further questions.

    I’m always happy to help!
