Get Moderation email, but mod Que is empty?

  • I get several requests to moderate each week, but the Que in my admin is empty. The ones that cause the trouble look like the following with empty or incomplete identification fields. I have Akismet installed and the only moderation requirement is for comments with two or more links in them. Does anyone know what is causing these blank notifications?

  • I just received one of these myself (WP 2.3.2)… anyone have an idea if that’s a real problem?

    I’d like to add that the Approve etc. links in the mail ended with c=0, and there was no new spam counted by Akismet at that time.

    cimddwc – I never did figure this out and guess no one here has any idea. I went a couple of weeks without getting one, then got 2 more. I just ignore them and they don’t seem to be a problem. I have searched the forums again and find no answer as to what they are, so it must be something unique to only a few of us.

    I’ve just got a lot of the same, all at once. A similar query elsewhere suggested adding Bad Behaviour as a plugin, but I have done so without effect. The messages are all timestamped 2258 yesterday.

    I have been having this problem for a few months and have been trying to fix it, but have no idea. Hopefully someone has some idea? ??

    After weeks of trying to figure out this problem, my host Surpass Hosting found the following solution.

    We have enabled register globals for your domain to fix the issue.

    Seems to have made everything work perfectly now. ??
