Get notice whe VAT number is saved to an account

Hello,

don′t have any solution like adding a definied role for customer, that has entered a valid VAT number?
Maybe you have any custom code for that?

Regarding your query, I am not sure if I was able to get it. Do you want to show a success message when someone enter a valid VAT number? But please let us know if you didn’t mean it.

entering the tax number is optional for our customers.
We would now like to receive information if a customer has entered a EU VAT in his billing address ( https://shop.bluezwei.at/my-account/edit-address/billing/ ).
How could we do that?

Hi @blue2shop

There is no direct report that shows this, but the EU VAT field is saved into user details, you can find it in user info, as well as order itself (there is an EU VAT section).

if a hundred customers register and twenty of them enter a VAT, we would like to know which customers entered it.
We would like to assign customers to a certain role based on VAT.

Don’t you have an idea for this, such as a custom code?

I have an idea that will solve it, under users page (from backend), where it shows a new column with VAT number where you can tell if this customer provided a VAT or not, sounds good?

I responded to your email but in case you haven’t got it, the feature is now implemented in the latest version of the plugin, you can filter on Users report by customers who provided VAT number.

Test it and please let me know if it meets your expectation.

Hi @blue2shop

If you go to Users, you will see a filter option at the top that says “EU VAT provided?”, filtering on this value will get you all customers who provided VAT number.

P.S. We’re editing the name of the other option (to reflect that they haven’t provided a VAT number) and will release it in the next update.
