Get only some categories in custom theme

    I am building a custom theme for my e-commerce website.

    I have a header where I only want to display some categories, I am using the get_categories function, and it works great.

    But I do not want to display all categories, in the WordPress admin I can not find how to add metadata or any method to flag some of my categories to get those flagged categories from the request
