[Plugin: Get recent comments]: how to wrap long titles?

Hi everyone! I’ll start to use this plugin (get recent comments) on my wp blog, and the structure of the posted comments on the sidebar will be:
%comment_author: %comment_excerpt
%post_title

I have this little problem: I don’t want the comments excerpts to be longer than 150 characters. But I often write post titles that are longer of 150 chars, and when I’ll do, there will be only the post title on the sidebar, for comments at that post :-/

How can I edit the plugin (and what file must I edit) in order to have some function like: “if comment title is longer than xxx than wrap it and ad … at the end”?
