Get rid of archive page

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help. I moved to a theme which did not have portfolio posts built-in and I used Portfolio Post Type to register them. It all worked perfectly and WP Show Posts picked up my existing portfolio posts:
https://allanjackson.net/allan-jackson-portfolio/Unfortunately there is also a post archive which loads the entire content of every post and I have been unable to switch it off or format it. It is at:
