Get rid of or change color of caret that leads to submenu

for changing the color of the sub-menu, you can go to the Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS in the dashboard and insert the code mentioned below:

.main-navigation ul li .sub-toggle{
	color: #5e1aad;
}

That did not work, when you hover over it, it is green. Please hover over the carat next to Meet Our dogs and you will see
