Get Rid of Reader View

Hi @ebates36, the feature “Enable the WordPress.com toolbar” is located under Jetpack →?Settings →?Writing. Could you check there?

Thank you for your reply – that’s the exact problem I’m having, that option does not display in that location for me. It appears nowhere on Jetpack > Settings > Writing, or anywhere else I have looked.

Hi @ebates36, WordPress.com toolbar is the last section. It’s not obvious from the screenshot… have you scrolled down the page?

Yes, I have scrolled down (fair enough question though!), and it does not appear anywhere on that page – a Ctrl+F search confirms it. I had someone from Divi remote in, and they could not locate it either.

Based on that behavior, I’m guessing that your site is hosted with WordPress.com, is that right? If so, you’ll want to contact their support directly (live chat or email) at https://wordpress.com/help/contact.

That said, one thing you can try already is to update Divi. I see they released a new update on June 28th. If the issue persists, then contact the WordPress.com support so they can help check if it’s really an issue with the Reader, and if the admin bar really needs to be hidden.
