    Yes, that’s intentional, as every new section should be its own block. Even if you have 5 paragraphs of text only, for example, then it should be 5 Paragraph Blocks.

    For adding white space, try the Spacer Block: https://www.ads-software.com/support/article/spacer-block/

    OK thanks. I don’t know if you’re the person to give this feedback to, but that’s a really strange feature in an editor. It’s fine to have a block to add white space in the final published product, but it’s really annoying while writing.

    Why is it necessary to have a line of text saying essentially “this is where you type” everywhere there is a space to type? It inevitably leads to a bunch of unwanted words on the page which is the last thing you want while writing. I’ve never used other CMS that does something like this.

    The “start writing or type / to choose a block” text won’t appear on publish, it’s only visible in the editor.

    Yes I totally understand that this does not appear in the post. My issue is that it’s very distracting during the writing process to have random words show up every time you add a line space. It’s an odd part of the composition process if you write in the editor, which I do.
