Get selected text?

    Is it possible to use this to get the selected text and act on it? I’m thinking I would like to create a button so I can select a word and wrap it in some html.

    Like if I selected HELLO and clicked my custom button, it would replace the selected text with <span class=”whatever”>HELLO</span> .

    Is that possible? If not does anybody know of a plugin that would do that?

    Hi @gloriousnoise,

    The plugin functionality works only on the frontend, it is possible to achieve this functionality by using post snippets on the site frontend, but you will have to write extensive javascript code depending upon the DOM structure of your site.
