Get the post ID of custom post type in the Post Carousel

    Hello, I’ve seen similar issues on the thread, but I it seems no one has got this one

    Is there a way to access the current post ID on the loop? If I do get_the_ID() or global $post I get the current page ID

    I’m trying to display some custom HTML based on the current post so I would need to have access to the post ID and not the page

    Hello there! 

    I apologize for the delayed response. 

    Please be informed that we tested it on our side and didn’t find issues returning a post ID in the loop. 

    We created a post.php file in our theme at \getwid\post-carousel\* where “get_the_ID()” returned Post and Page IDs without issues. 

    So let us know if there’s something we can help you with.
