    So, this occurs when you try and save the custom embed? You’re doing this in the custom fields meta box?

    It appears to be related to the ‘global edge security’ suite on WPEngine blocking anything containing odd characters (i can paste plain text, but the moment i introduce an apostrophe, it gives me the 403 – at least, that’s the running theory for now).

    Yeah, so if this is occurring during entry into that meta box, this is an issue with your core WordPress installation – that box is not created or managed by this plugin.
