getting 404 error message when viewing course

This happen might be caused by you permalink settings. You can try to save your permalink to default and save it again back to other options to fix this issue.

I am having similar problems. When I try to view the page for a course, I get a “Nothing found…” message.

The course shows up on the ‘Courses’ page, but the link will not go to the course or course information so that one can register or purchase the course.

It does the same for courses I create as well as the course data provided by LearnPress.

I’ve done the things with the permalink settings suggested… several times, with no change or improvement… Except, when I have settings on default for the permalinks, the page will briefly flash then the page turns black (not the screen, just the page)

This is happening with all my LearnPress installations on several sites. A couple of months ago when I first installed LP on a couple of sites, it worked fine. Now it doesn’t.

I really want to use this program, but if I can’t get it working in the next couple of days, I will have to go to another system.

What was the solution to the problem? Same issue – 404’s and not displaying correctly in default theme.

Are you using default permalink? Go to menu Settings / Permalinks and check it. Let me know if you still get the 404 problem.

The problem origin seems to be a conflict with the theme I’m using on many of my sites… WordPress 2014

LearnPress seems to be working on my sites that are using different themes… though it displays differently with each different theme and with one of them the courses page displays in the right sidebar instead of on a page… weird.

Could you look at the 2014 theme, play with it, and figure out if and where the compatibility problem is and fix it?

Every time there is an update (I really appreciate the frequent updates you guys are doing) I cross my fingers that the problem has been resolved… but so far it’s not happened.

We always try to improve LearnPress templates. But it’s not easy, you know. So many themes with different template structures and the issue’s still there.

But we still keep trying.

What’s the default permalink?

Hi all
This is getting somewhat silly and i am about to delete it all and start over. I Get Oops could not find page when trying to view a course, I have read online about the permalink issue but none of the solutions that are out there seem to work. It would be great with some help on this one ??

They seem to be ignoring out requests. Why develop a plug in that doesn’t work?

The default permalink is post-name. When you change the permalink settings, try to creat a simple WordPress post, then view that post, if it works, then you check LearnPress course again. If you cannot see the simple WordPress post, you should edit .htaccess yourself and make it work.

Which version of LearnPress you are using? You should downgrade to 0.9.19 cos we are fixing error in version 1.0.
