Getting 406 errors whenever I try to add picture

  • I’ve started getting this error any time I try to add a photo to a page:

    406 Not Acceptable
This request is not acceptable

    Photos still show up fine wherever they’re already used, but their presence renders the page content uneditable…until they’re deleted. Then clicking ‘update’ actually updates the page content with no problems.

    It doesn’t seem to matter if I embed the image using an IMG tag in the html editor, or if I click the ‘Add an Image’ link (in fact, if I do that I get the same error in the modal window when I click ‘Insert into post’).

    has anyone run into this before?

  • I am getting this same error.
    I have recently updated the WP to the latest.
    Other than that nothing appears to be different.

    please help
