Help Please. I am seemingly in my “admin” mode for editing my pages – I can see top right hand corner “Hi My Name” and the black bar with WP edit functions. But when I try to save my changes I get a new page with this message:

The page you are trying to access is restricted due to a security rule.

If you believe the security rule is affecting the normal operation of your website, contact your host support team and provide detailed instructions how to recreate this error.
They will be able to assist you with rectifying the problem and adjusting the security configuration if needed.

Can someone please tell me how to correct this. Thanks

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • That’s not a WordPress error message, it must be coming from your host. You should do what the message says:

contact your host support team and provide detailed instructions how to recreate this error

Thank you. Sorry, this is all jargon, so didn’t understand it properly. So I assume it’s siteground I need to contact.

    Hello @suepj,

    Ivan Atanasov from SiteGround here.

I reviewed the recent logs for any entries that could explain the issue you are facing. There are several ModSecurity errors recorded for your domain that are likely related to the problem you described.

I will not post the logs here for obvious reasons, however, would recommend that you post a Support Ticket from your SiteGround User Area and allow our team to recreate the problem.

Our team will offer assistance with this.
