  • I have the same problem. Installed all 3 plugins as per https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Bb5Lo-KBPQ
    Contact form works on its own with the Form ID
    Download of the file works with Download Monitor on its own with the correct File ID

    But when integrating both with “Email Before Download” plugin eg [email-download download id=”123” contact-form-id=”454″] ids are just examples otherwise the correct ones are inserted. The error [contact-form-7 404 “Not Found”] is returned on the page.

    If you know the solution please email to [email protected]

    The problem is related to the quotes around the arguments. Take those out and all works, e.g.

    [email-download download_id=1234 contact_form_id=1357]

    Try it without the quotes as Tig1960 said. If that doesn’t fix it then edit the page so you can see the html (don’t use the wysiwyg editor) and manually put the quotes around the numbers. Do not copy & paste from anywhere.

    Certain themes (builder-type themes with content-blocks) and perhaps certain editors may result in the quotes going in as the HTML-code for a quote rather than the quote itself. Or, some people copy & paste things & sometimes the quotes may not be real quotes (they may be like MS Word dumbquotes or some other variant).

    You just have to keep trying things. As long as you have the contact_form_id correct then it’s a quote issue specific to your site/theme/editor/etc

    @tig1960, thanks, it works!

    @brynzovskii – glad you got it sorted. ??
