• hey Lynn, thank you for the terrific plug-in!

I sent a support message but figured that it was better to share with the whole community. When I connect a wallet (thru either method on desktop) I get “Address 0x6c47b3e62c56f… is already linked to an account. Doing nothing.” What is causing this and if a wallet is in fact already connected, why does the lightbox stay open with that message?

    Thanks!

  • Just to add some more info: if I register a new user with the classical mail and password method, and then in the profile page I try to link the crypto wallet, I also get the same message: Address 0x… is already linked to an account. Doing nothing.
@nefti Are you using a standard WordPress setup or a multisite one? I guess the issues I have are related to permissions.

Are you sure you aren’t already logged in? The widget will try to link a new eth address to the logged in account, if so, and that’s when you get the message.

Following up on this. I don’t have a username/password login on my site, just want to connect users with the EthPress login. However, when I test the login with the plugin I get one of the following messages (have tried with multiple wallets):

“Address 0x6c47b3e62c56f… is already linked to an account. Doing nothing.”
    “Username already exists”

Can you confirm that the wallet connects after this message? And if so, how can I make the box minimize (otherwise it confuses the user)?

    Thanks!
