After updating to WP 5.3 I had two issues. One was caused by Classic Editor that caused an error message to appear at the top of the page. This was resolved when I deactivated that plugin. The other I discovered today – I could no longer edit or add a post or page. I would get a blank page. I was forced to revert back to previous version of WP to resolve this for now. I will be creating a staging copy of our site and will update this post with the error messages I see in console. Are there any other steps I can take to get this resolved on my end other then disabling all plugins?

The easiest way to check for a plugin/theme conflict is to install this plugin:
    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/

That plugin was created by the WordPress community for instances just like this. It allows you to check for a plugin/theme conflict without affecting any other users/visitors to the site.

And now, some of its troubleshooting options are actually in WordPress core (look for the “Site Health” option under the default WordPress “Tools” menu item). But you’ll need to install the plugin to check for a plugin/theme conflict.

Thank you @thomas4ithemes. I will try this health check plugin once I setup a staging copy of one of our sites.

Update, the issue was solved by installing a plugin called Disable Gutenberg. The conflict was caused by WP 5.3 updated gutenberg editor with our theme’s visual editor. I let our theme’s author (tagDiv / Newspaper) know about this fix via their forum.
