I’m doing some web work for a non-profit. They have a gallery of art available to sponsor. They need the descriptions to show up as “captions”

So I was able to get the captions under the thumbnails, (which looks horrible by the way), but not when viewed in the slide show.

It seems to me that designers who have galleries should have an easy option to display or not display captions if they so choose. Can that functionality be added to a future update? Or, could there be a way to see a caption if you mouse over the picture?

It seems counterintuitive to have to jump thru several hoops just to add captions. And from the posts, I’m not the only one who wants easy access to captions.

Lastly – my client told me that the slide show does NOT work on a Safari browser on an iPhone. I was able to confirm that!

Love the product! Keep making it better and better.

If you fix that – There will be a donation forthcoming.

    Hi @radio_mogul,

The on-hover captions and Pro Lightbox ( that allows showing up both the title and descriptions ) are already available in Plus or Pro premium versions of NextGen so you may be interested in purchasing a membership with us in order to benefit from these features.

By the way, I have tested the simple lightbox and it worked just fine on my iPhone in Safari browser.

    Best Regards
