Getting cart total price

Hello guys.
I want to only add this free gift to the cart, if the cart total (incl. tax, excl. shipping), is above 1000.
I copy pasted this code, that depends on just purchasing 1 product from a specific category. Which is fine, so i tried to add the minimum cart total on top of it.
But it doesn’t work as intended. I was hoping someone could look it through, and point me in the right direction ??
