Double-check the database connection details in your wp-config.php file.

If they are correct, contact your hosting provider to ask why your database server is offline.

hi james thanks for quick response.

But unable to login as admin to our site itself. When we tried contacting blueshost.com from whom we had purchased the site 7 years ago, they simply said we no longer provide support you need to contact bluehost india and when we contacted them they are saying you need to get in touch with bluehost.com.

One thing is sure, we will remove our sites from bluehost and never recommend it to anyone henceforth.

till then dont know what else can we do as we are unable to login to the site at all.

Checking the contents of the wp-config.php file does not require logging into the site itself.

Access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, and edit the file with a plain text editor.

If the connection details are correct, then that would indeed suggest that the database is offline, and only your hosting provider can fix that.

Unable to login to the “hosting account’s control panel” itself not just the site. Unable to login as client in the bluehost.com site as they are saying you need to login to bluehost.in which says there is no client by this name. Tried emailing and calling them and they are passing the blame to each other.

Unfortunately, you’ll have to sort that out with them.

There’s nothing we can do here about that, and you absolutely need access to your hosting account’s control panel, not only to proceed, but also to pay your bill too before your hosting expires. It’s very important.

The site is 7 years old and is auto renewed every year without fail.

Shame on bluehost for shifting services from US to INDIA team all of a sudden without any backup support or clue.

Anyway, thank you very much for your time.

Hey @Techdevine, I am sorry to hear about the confusion. Bluehost.com does indeed still have US based support for the bluehost.com. If you can email me your domain, I am happy to look into the issue for you. Can you also provide me with the name of the tech you spoke with?

    Thanks,
