    Hi:

I’ve been getting this strange behavior since one or two months; my site was working ok, one day I was running a routine check, opened a Brave browser (just for testing, configured to erase everything at exit so no cache gets in the middle), and got a blank page. Went to GTmetrix, can’t finish test, telling me there is an ERR_HTTP2_PROTOCOL_ERROR error on the page. Cleaning all cache and purging Cloudflare seems to work, but only for about two days; then the site goes back to showing a blank page and the ERR_HTTP2_PROTOCOL_ERROR.

Any ideas? I’m hosting at HawkHost, using WP 5.7.1, LSC 3.6.4 and lots of other plugins, oh and I’m not using WP’s cron, I’m using the native cron, just in case it helps.

I hope you guys can help me.

    Thanks in advance.

P.S. To the mods: what do I need to be removed from moderation watch?

    Hi,

could you please turn off Cloudflare for couple days and see how it goes first ?

since you are using CF, then there is additional layer between your site and visitors , we will at least , narrow down external factor first

WP 5.7 that is, my bad. Ok, will try the CF idea. Thanks.

    Hi,

Its showing a blank page now, GTmetrix reports ERR_HTTP2_PROTOCOL_ERROR. I’ve enabled CF dev mode, site still fails to load. It’s only the front end, the back end works normally.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

Had to return CF back to normal. As I said, with CF deactivated the error persists, so I conclude that something is happening to the site cache. I just can’t figure what happened, it was working fine.

    Any ideas?

I believe it is fixed now. I honestly don’t have a rational explanation, but somehow an old .htaccess got restored, and that was causing trouble. I’ll let this open for a couple of days, and will return with confirmation of the solution or asking for more help.

    Thanks for your time.

    Hi:

With the correct .htaccess lasted longer, but still failed after little more than two days, same error as before.

    Any ideas?

    Hi:

I’m testing with Autoptimize deactivated, only LSC is handling everything optimization-related. Just asking, can I run AO and LSC simultaneously? I was using AO to optimize JS, CSS and HTML, and LSC for caching. But I’m suspecting something is wrong with those two activated, so I disabled AO and updated LSC to handle everything now.

    Any comments on this approach?

    Hi,

not much , for this kind of error you will need to have server root access in order to check server log for why that connection errors out

yes, I’ve seen cases where AO and LSCWP runs together , as long as you don’t enable same features on both sites

    Hi:

Well, it failed again after almost 4 days. Based on my experiences, I’m beginning to think that it fails *after* plugin updates. I update my plugins with ManageWP, then when I visit my site I see a notification that says that all caches were emptied correctly (don’t remember the exact message). Isn’t there any test that I can do, some log to read, anything?

This has become very frustrating. ??

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

Broken again. It was right after updates, JetPack specifically. As always, backend works, frontend doesn’t load, it requires purging all cache and it works again.

Just sent a report, number HSJLFKTT. Can you take a look please?

    Thanks again.

    Hi,

yeah well , I don’t have much idea right now , because I can’t really think of any possible reason for this to happen

could you please try reset LSCWP settings to default , and see if it still happens after that ? we will at least try to narrow down where the possible cause is that
