I am using Events-Planner plugin on my site to register kids for a camp. It has worked great so far. Recently I am having people get an error message when going through the registration process. I have Events Planner using PayPal Express Checkout. I can’t reproduce the error but others have been telling me they get an error after they go through the process of selecting their camp and inputting their info. The click the confirm and then they get this error:

ERROR: Authentication/Authorization Failed. You do not have permissions to make this API call

I went back through the verified the API settings and all those are correct. I went through the process myself and all worked no problem.

What could be the cause of this and what can I do to fix it? Why would some people get this issue and others have no problems?

Page I am working with is https://granbyschool.com/online-registration/.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Just so you know I am still getting reports from my customer that the Registration button is not showing up properly. I added the code you provided and I have also changed the color of the word Register to black instead of white but apparently some people are still not seeing the word. Some are just getting an outline of the oval and it is not filled in so the word Register isn’t showing. Some people for some reason aren’t even seeing it even thought I changed the font color to black.

Any new thoughts? I can’t reproduce it on my computer. I have tried the page using Chrome and IE an I get a blue button with the word Register inside in black color on both.

Well, I am not sure. I can’t reproduce it either on Chrome, IE, or FF. I think they may be seeing cached versions of the page.

    Thanks, Abel

    Hi Abel,
I have another question. Is there a way to sort the events by date on the listing page the users see? Right now they are listed in the order I enter them into the system. Not a big deal if starting from scratch but when editing it creates a problem where some events may appear higher in the list even though they occur later than some listed later. Some users would think that anything listed after a certain event would take place later in time. Can there be something done about that? Look at https://granbyschool.com/online-registration/. You will see that the event labeled Virginia I Youth Camp takes place before the event listed above it. How can I resort that?

    Hi Jesse.

That is available in the Pro. As the event dates are stored in the post meta as serialized arrays, certain trickery is required to make things work. Moreover, the dates in the Lite version are stored as formatted dates whereas in the Pro, they are Unix timestamps so they are easier to work with.

    Thanks, Abel
