Getting "illegal string offset 'primary'" error

I deactivated my plugins and re-activated them one by one and found the problem with woo commerce. the error is showing on on the front page of my website as
Illegal string offset ‘primary’ in /home/gresap1/battleandbrew.com/wp-content/themes/espresso/_theme_settings/theme-functions.php on line 49

I have the plugin deactivated now so it isn’t displaying the error, but the website is here.
