• Am trying to install a new website using WP 3.8.1 at SuperSoccerShootout.Com

I have numerous WP sites hosted at Site5 and never had this problem. I’ve deleted and reuploaded site files multiple times but keep getting Parse error messages.

I just went through the process where WP walks you through the creation of the wp-config. Got the message:

“All right, sparky! You’ve made it through this part of the installation. WordPress can now communicate with your database. If you are ready, time now to…” but when I clicked “run the install” I got this message:

“Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/supersoc/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1023” at this URL: https://supersoccershootout.com/wp-admin/install.php

Any help you can give me is most appreciated!

UPDATE: I tried replacing the wp-includes/pluggable.php file that was prompting the error.

    I then got this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function site_url() in /home/supersoc/public_html/wp-includes/cron.php on line 286

I overwrote the wp-includes/cron.php file and then got this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function admin_url() in /home/supersoc/public_html/wp-login.php on line 738

    Ugh!

When I refresh the page it alternates between these messages:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/supersoc/public_html/wp-admin/includes/schema.php on line 973

Fatal error: Call to undefined function admin_url() in /home/supersoc/public_html/wp-login.php on line 738

    Any ideas? Please…?
