I have a WordPress site (daveenjoys.com) hosted on Bluehost. When I visit other sites (ex. PandoDaily.com) I get the WordPress.com toolbar along the top and the reblog option. If I click “reblog” on a page it lets me choose the WordPress site (daveenjoys.com) I want to reblog on and allows me to enter any comments. I’ve tried this on a few different sites now (other than PandoDaily) and each time it says it is reblogging and then after a few moments that it has reblogged, but when I go to daveenjoys.com there is no reblogged post. Any ideas why this is occurring?

David, did you ever figure this one out. I am coming up blank and just don’t think the reblogging featuer works.

AFAIK Reblog’ing from WordPress.COM to a self-hosted doesn’t work.

It’s not the same thing but try using Press This instead.

I am also searching for the solution of this issue.
I have a self-hosted wordpress site and want other wordpress.com users to FOLLOW, LIKE AND RE-BLOG My website posts.
When im login in my zulfi799.wordpress.com and so now i am able to Follow, Like and Reblog posts on https://www.dawn.com in my blog.

so same feature i want to add in my selfhosted wordpress site https://www.pakmediaethics.org

Please let me know if you got any solution.

There is a really sweet plugin called “Repost.Us” located at the following URL,

Essentially, you can place a button in your post (top, bottom or user specified) that enables others to “repost your article.”

What I want to know is how do I re-gain the “reblog” feature from WordPress, i.e. I want to be able to do the following,

https://en.blog.wordpress.com/2010/06/01/we-all-like-to-reblog/

but know of no widget enabling me to do this.

Has anyone found a solution?

Just wanted to revive this thread so maybe WP.org will notice. I just discovered the Reblog feature on a WP.com site and I think it’s great, I’ve been trying to find better ways to embed content from other blogs on my blog and for now I am using Embedly, but the WP.com Reblog feature is much more convenient.

What you are describing in a wordpress.com specific feature at the current time. And posting in a thread that is almost a year old won’t help at all. You either need to look for a suitable plugin or persuade the developers of an existing plugin (like Jetpack) to add this feature.
