Getting Rid of "Continue Reading"

Hi,

I know this topic has been discussed before in the past. But the suggestions and alterations mentioned then are not working in the theme I have. Plus those threads are closed. I’ve written to the author of the theme, but I’m sure he has hundreds of emails a day. So I hope someone can help me here,

The theme I’m using is Wordsmith. It has a ‘hooked functions’ php page. There is a lot of code in it that describes the ‘continued reading’, ‘read more’ and the […] brackets. But I’m lost with it all.

Now, the hook functions is the place I’ve altered the code with the suggestions in other “Getting rid of “Continued Reading” threads, but I keep getting a syntax error(s). The coding in this functions is a bit different, that what has been posted in the past.

What I would like: Is to remove the “continued reading, remove the brackets, and let the whole post/comment be shown.

I’ve used Pastbin to show the code from the hook functions page. I’ve pasted just about all of it. I hope that’s ok..

I don’t know php very well at all, and of course not enough to tackle this kind of problem.
