Getting rid of the Default Date and Year

I downloaded a new theme from Alek Kings website called
Landzilla.

I want to delete the default date and year of January 1 1970.
I use Dreamweaver 8 and downloaded the style sheet
index.php and page.php, but I can’t find January 1 1970 anywhere in these files to delete it.

When I view the page source, it’s clearly easy to find just below the meta tags, but no where in the above mentioned file.

Why is this place on most themes for wordpress, very annoying. Any suggestions.
