  • Hey @jagdishtiwari,

Thanks for the feedback! If you can give the developer version a try it may have the updates for your issue. The very latest version (1.2.5) can be found by following these instructions:

    -> Download Latest Version
-> Uninstall your current version and install this one.

Let me know if this solves your issue~

    Thanks

    Hi,

I am having the same problem, receiving the following error when I attempt to run a scan with Duplicator:

    Scan Error Please try again!
Server Status: 500 -Internal Server Error
    Error Message:

I first experienced the error with Duplicator version 1.2.4 and after reading your post, I tried installing version 1.2.5, and had the same result. My web host is running PHP 5.3.29. I tried running the scan on a local version of the same site running on an AMPPS installation with PHP 5.3.29 and the scan ran without error.

I am at a loss at this point. Any thoughts?

    Thanks.

    Hey @scpete,

Checkout this question on the FAQs page I believe it may help or provide some clues about this issue:

? ? – Why does the scan take a long time or just simply fail?
    ? ? – https://snapcreek.com/duplicator/docs/faqs-tech/#faq-package-018-q

Let me know if this helps~

    Hi Cory,

Thanks for the quick reply. I ran the scan validator with no issues and don’t have any large files. The error occurs only a few seconds after starting the scan, so it doesn’t seem to be timeout related. Not sure what changed since the last time I ran Duplicator on this site, but there must be something. Odd that it works fine on the local AMPPS installation with the same PHP versions, but the configurations are likely different. Unfortunately, I don’t have time to do any additional testing right now, but I hope I can figure out what the issue is. Thanks.

Sounds Good! If you happen to find any spare time let me know and I’ll see if there is a way around the issue…

    Cheers~

    Hi
I’m having the same problem (with plugin duplicator):

“Step 2: System Scan. Scan Error. Please try again!
Server Status: 500 -Internal Server Error. Error Message:”

I upgraded to version 1.2.4 and error persits.
I tried pluggin “XCloner – Site Backup and Restore” and I could generate installation package. I will continue with this alternative, while.

Ideal for me to continue using plugin duplicator, I have migrated many websites successfully.

    Hi @ag8,

Did you try any of the suggestions mentioned in the FAQ link above?

    Hi @corylamleorg
(No, and I do not know which FAQ link you mean …)

I did several tests and these 2 worked:
(Does not give “500 -Internal Server Error” with plugin duplicator)
    1)
    Enable “Enable File Filters” and exclude: “/ public_html / test / wp-content / themes;”

    2)
I deleted the themes not being used and left only the asset (there were 9 thema, there was only 1)
Deleting inactive themes, it was not necessary to enable “Enable File Filters”

Success and I hope you serve them too!

    Hey @ag8,

Glad you got it going! There is an FAQ link earlier in the thread, that mentions what you just tried…

    Thanks for the update!
