• Hi,

I’m getting search results that include code from pages. I tried to address this in the plugin settings but I can’t seem to exclude these results.

This image shows the results I am referring to towards the bottom of the image.

This image show my current Relevanssi settings.

I’d be very grateful if you can help me find the solution to exclude these sorts of result in a general word search.

    Thanks.

The image is so tiny that the text can’t be seen. But I guess it might look like shortcodes, in which case the solution can be found here.

If you can post a screenshot that shows the actual problem in actual 1:1 size so I can see what the text says, I can provide more information (the settings page screenshot is also so tiny that I can’t see what most of the settings are, but this can’t be fixed from the settings page so it doesn’t matter).

    Thanks.

I think that might be the relevant issue, as I’m using Visual Composer on my site.

Would you suggest using the code that Itamar Megged mentioned in the comments (https://www.relevanssi.com/knowledge-base/divi-page-builder-and-cleaner-excerpts/) or your original “Get rid of all shortcodes” version?

    Thanks again.

Try both and see what works, there’s no big difference between them – the one Itamar Megged suggests is slightly more refined than the “kill ’em all” version.
