• I just installed your plugin Draw Attention but am getting the following error message:

“Your server is out of date. Draw Attention (and many other WP plugins) requires PHP version 5.3 or higher. PHP 5.2 was released back in 2006 and support was officially terminated in 2011. Please contact your hosting company and ask to be upgraded to PHP 5.3 or higher”

However my cPanel confirms I am running PHP 5.4.45 and my WordPress version is 3.6.1

Do you have any solution for this. I really want to use the pro version of your plugin but I need to trial it first and I cannot do this.

    Thank You.

Hello there! Sorry that you’re having trouble.

Could you please try installing the Display PHP Version plugin (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/display-php-version/) just to double-check and make sure that your cPanel is reporting the same PHP version that WordPress shows?

Also, I just wanted to double-check your WordPress version – did you mean 4.6.1?

    Hi Natalie,

Display PHP Plugin shows 5.2.17, WordPress version is 3.6.1 and Draw Attention says it’s good with 3.5.1 and up. I’ve included a couple of screenshots.

    Thank you,
    Mike

Hi Mike! The screenshots don’t seem to be displaying, but that’s okay because you’ve said that the PHP plugin is reporting that WordPress is running on PHP 5.2.17, and Draw Attention requires at least PHP 5.3. I’d recommend contacting your hosting company to get that resolved. Very often, they can either upgrade your server or move you to a different server with an updated version of PHP.
