I have just installed the plugin and upon connecting to my google account I get the following error: “getting site failed”. I have several google analytics sites attached to the google account – is this something to do with the problem?

    Thanks

    Hi @industrialmarketing,

Thanks for reaching out. So we can determine more on the “getting site failed” error please share the following:

    1. A screenshot of this error. I ask as I don’t recall encountering this previously. You can use a service such as Imgur or JumpShare to provide a screenshot.
    2. At what stage does this occur? Ie. After clicking on the “Continue” button after selecting your Google account during set up?
    3. Does the same occur if you attempt Site Kit set up using a Chrome browser incognito window, when not choosing to include Google Analytics during set up?

This shouldn’t be a problem, having multiple Analytics properties tied to one Analytics account shouldn’t impact set up.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above. Looking forward to your reply.

    Hi James

All sorted out now. I hadn’t granted all of the requested permissions. I did that and it is now all working correctly.
