Getting started

Hi!
I’m new to wordpress and am in the process of downloading it. I downloaded it and unzipped the file, but am super confused about what to do next! Can anyone help me, please? I see that I’m supposed to have a “shell” according to the next step but I don’t know what that means.. Am I meant to download apache? Any help is appriciated!
I recently bought a paid theme for wordpress, too (I know I need to contact them for help with their product- i’m just including this info in case it makes a difference in what I do next!)
