getting started with Membership 2

How do I set up my site, rhtpoetry.com, so that prospective customers can navigate to the signup pages that the free Membership 2 plugin supplies? I want to have a home-brew Home page, from which visitors can either go to either to the membership signup page or to a Sample Poem page, from which they can also navigate to the signup page. If someone is already a paid member, they would go from the Home page directly to the Poems page, from where they could optionally go to a Members’ Introductory page or to a Pronunciation Guide page. In either case, members could return to the Poems page, where they would find the posted poems. I don’t know how to set up links to all these different pages., and the buttons or transfer boxes I should use, especially how customers get from the Home page to the Membership 2 signup pages. How do I set up the links?
