• I have written the following post, but I’m getting an error. The error message I get when I try to look at the URL of my post is as follows:

“This page contains the following errors:

error on line 27 at column 8: Opening and ending tag mismatch: meta line 0 and head.”

The code can be found here: https://pastebin.com/xKA8T9uB

I am a newb. I’ve heard of what a meta tag is, but have no clue what a meta line is. Also, from the way my code shows up on Pastebin, line 27 has nothing to do with meta anything as far as I can tell. If someone could tell me how to read my code within the WordPress editor so that in the future I can figure out what line and column an error message is talking about, I would really appreciate it.

Any other problems you see in my code? I don’t even touch the code really; I just use the “Visual” tab of the post editor.

    Which theme are you using?

Does the site display change if you temporarily switch to the twentythirteen theme?

Hi thanks for stopping to try and help!

I’m using Twenty Twelve. I really don’t like Twentythirteen theme.

If I switch to Twentythirteen though to see if that fixes it, will it mess up my posts?

It is a troubleshooting step. It should not cause any additional problems if you temporarily switch.

Have you made any changes to twentytwelve on your site?
