getting to the root directory of my site – parent of bloginfo(‘url’)

    Hi,

    I have installed WP in a directory “news”. I want to link back to pages in the parent directory of “news” from my theme.

    is there a way of manipulating <?php bloginfo(‘url’); ?> and strip off “/news” ?
