Additionally, are there any template overrides in place for the checkout page?

I’d like to understand your site properly, can you please share your System Status Report, that will help us further troubleshoot.

You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it into your reply here.

If you could also provide the fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

The table wp_wc_customer_lookup is related to customers and not to orders.

May I ask, can you please share the site’s error log? It is under WooCommerce > System Status > Logs (if available).

You can switch the site’s theme to Storefront, and disable all plugins except WooCommerce, at this point, make a test order to see if the strange behavior persists.

There are no errors!
I was on saturday evening 10/12 busy on the site.
I was checking the text etc. and adapted some text.
I didn’t make any order!!!!
When I checked out, I received some time later a thank you email that I placed an order and the order was accepted and payed. Total amount was zero!!!
The email looks the same as I send before except the dates where not the same.
I don’t know what triggers this!
So deactivating of plugins has in my opinion here no effect.
So what I did now, I investigated the database on the term “Thai Nguyen” and I removed everything what contains this term.
So in the worst case the system will make a new ghost purchase whit another address and name. So I wait a see what happens.
Question: Is het possible to rebuild the datebase from beginning or are there any repair possibilities?

Other alternatives are:

– You can update WooCommerce to its latest version (From 7.1.0 to 7.1.1), then you can go under WooCommerce > status > tools and click update database as well.

– You can clear the site cache.

– You can verify the database, by going to WooCommerce > status > tools > Verify base database tables.

Hi There,

Just a few hours before you above message it went wrong again.
I received an order confirmation with the same address from Vietnam as before.
It was from the last concept product that was be changed approx. 1 hour before receiving the confirmation.
On 12/12 I made 1 concept product with 6 variations, I published this in private to make
it available in attributen stock. Afterwards I put it back to normal and concept,
On 13/12 a extra variations was needed on the above mentioned product so I did.
After this I closed WordPress and worked on another site.
So now I upgrade Woo to 7.2.0 and all above recommendations from you.
I also made a staging site from this site and than will look and test if a plugin is causing the problems.

I understand, while the issue behavior could be similar, each site configuration could be different.

It is important to check the site’s cache, your host might help with that, make sure the cart, checkout, and my account pages are not cached.

Running a conflict test will help you to identify the cause of the problem, I mean disable the plugins except WooCommerce, switching the theme to Storefront, and making a test order to see if random items are being added to the order or not, then you can reactivate the theme and plugins (gradually) until you find the cause of the issue.

I switched the theme to Storefront and tested by activating plugin by plugin and Thank You plugin activated.

When I activated the plugin “Duplicate page” the ghost purchase became active again.
