    Hi there,

I’ve uploaded my GIF into the WP media library and imported into my page. When I do the GIF remains static after publishing. I am using Elementor to structure my site, I’m not sure if that’s relevant here. I’ve tried to select ‘full size’ as recommended in the forums but I can’t find the full size option in my version of WP (within the edit section), I just have an option to choose varied dimensions. This is the animation:

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

You have to insert full-size unmodified GIF’s into your post.
Any thumbnails or alternate sizes will be unanimated.
Neither GD or Imagick PHP extensions used to process images are able to keep more than first frame of GIF image.

So basically, while inserting GIF image in the content you need to select “Full Size” in the “Image Size” dropdown. I hope this helps.

    Thank you Yui and Samuel!

I ended up managing to pull it off using a URL in the video section of Elementor but your tips will definitely be useful to me on the next run. Thanks again.
