    Hi there,

I am using your plugin alongside WooCommerce Memberships. In the gift card product page, I checked the box so that gift cards are excluded from member discounts of any membership plan.

However, if I am connected as a member, I still have a discount on the gift card (which I don’t want).

Is there a compatibility issue between your plugin and WooCommerce Memberships? Is there a way I can make sure that no discounts are ever applied to the gift card?

    Thanks!

Hi Kay, we haven’t tested with the WooCommerce Memberships plugin, however it sounds like you have checked the box to exclude the product but it isn’t honoring that.

We based the PW Gift Card product type on the “Variable Product” type that is built into WooCommerce. It is possible that WooCommerce Memberships plugin needs you to exclude each Variation (aka, Amount).

I’m going to install WooCommerce Memberships and run a few tests to see if this is something we can resolve or if you will need to reach out to them.

Thanks a lot for your quick reply!

Indeed, everything is set up correctly. I even have a notice in my membership plan stating that the gift card product is excluded from the membership discount.

    Thanks for looking into this.

    Hi Kay,

I just installed WooCommerce Memberships and set up a plan. I created a new Purchasing Discounts option (25% off for members) and it applied the discount to the Gift Card product.

Then I went to the Edit Product page for the Gift Card product and checked the box “Disable discounts” underneath the “Discounts” tab in the “Memberships” area. As soon as I hit the Update button at the top right, the 25% discount disappeared for the product.

Also, the “Member Discount!” badge went away from the product page.

Let me know if you took a different approach so that I can try and reproduce the problem you are having.

    Hi,

I did the same thing but somehow the discount is still applied. I tried creating a new product and made sure “disable discounts” was checked and I had the same issue.

I am using a CDN… I don’t know if this could be the problem?

I will try to deactivate all plugins (except memberships and yours) to see if something may be causing an interference.

I deactivated all plugins (except those needed to make tests: woocommerce, memberships, and yours) but the issue is still there.
