Gift Card Plugin is Conflicting with Another Plugin

I just installed Variation Swatches for WooCommerce plugin by Emran Ahmed on our development site but did not have any issues.

I tested adding 1 gift card, then another for the same amount (the cart updated the quantity to 2). Then I added a different amount successfully. Finally, added a third amount with a quantity of 4 and it added all 4.

After that, I added other products that were not gift cards to the cart and they were successfully added.

It sounds like you may have the “Sold Individually” checkbox checked for the gift card product. Click on the Products menu and then edit the PW Gift Card product. Under the “General” menu look for the “Sold Individually” checkbox and uncheck it if it is checked.

We were able to locate the JavaScript error you are having on your site and fixed it in the latest release.

To get the update:

1. Log into your WordPress Admin area.
2. Click on Plugins -> Installed plugins.
3. Scroll down to PW WooCommerce Gift Cards and click “Check for updates.”
4. The page will refresh, then scroll back down and click on “Update.”

The current latest version is v1.106

Let me know if this does the trick!

I have updated the plugin and it’s working now, but there’s one more issue.

The cart window is not working, I cannot remove the products from here and can’t update the product quantity as well.

I tried disabling Gift Card plugin and it started to work again.

Unfortunately this looks like a conflict with your theme. If you go to your Cart page directly it works as expected. The theme is creating it’s one ajax / flyover cart that isn’t working with our plugin.

You should contact your theme developer for assistance by demonstrating that the Cart page works correctly while the ajax cart does not. If there is something that needs to be changed within our plugin they can notify us and we’ll make the change if it’s feasible and won’t interfere with standard WooCommerce behavior.

I have contacted the theme support and this what they have to say

I had a look at it and the plugin is preventing the custom ajax feature of the theme.
I don’t know why though, because it should not have any impact on the cart.
However, one possibility is to disable the mini cart. This means when clicking on the cart icon, to get redirected immediately to the main cart page instead of sliding at the mini cart on the right.

Please let me know if this can be fixed?

Unfortunately we can’t fix conflicts with individual themes (there are simply too many out there) so you’ll need to follow the instructions from the theme developer regarding disabling the mini cart.

If that isn’t an option for some reason then it looks like our plugin won’t be compatible with your site. We do try to ensure that our plugin works with as many plugins/themes as possible but sometimes there are conflicts that prevent that.
