Gigpress RSS feed doesn't update on changes

    Hi,

    I’ve noticed that the Gigpress RSS feed…

    example.com/?feed=gigpress

    …is not updated when a new gig is added.

    But when I publish (or delete) a default WordPress post it triggers the gigpress feed to be updated.

    How can I have the gigpress feed to be updated when a gig is added or deleted?

    I can confirm that I’m NOT using Feedburner or any such plugin

  • Hmm, good question. I haven’t encountered this before (and on my local install I can’t even locate any feed caches anywhere), but I’ll put it on the list ti look into.

    This is truly a stupid question, so please accept my apologies in advance.

    How do I set up the RSS and ICal feeds?

    I have “download iCalendar” configured as a link for each of the shows using this shortcode:
    [gigpress_shows scope=upcoming group_artists=no show_menu=monthly menu_sort=asc]
    but when I click on download iCalendar, I get this url:
    https://myurl.com/?feed=gigpress-ical&show_id=150

    Likewise, when I click on the Subscribe RSS icon below the list of shows (same page, same shortcode), I get this url:
    https://myurl.com/?feed=gigpress

    Howdy @misskitty9470,

    Is this in reference to the sidebar widget? If so, that should be an option within the widget settings (Appearance > Widgets) itself. The option i to enable RSS and iCal Feeds.

    As a heads up, would you be willing to open a new thread if you have any other questions or comments on this? It will help ensure that the others in this thread do not get pinged with each reply — and I’m guessing they would appreciate that since the last replay was 6 months ago. ??
