Giphy embedded gifs cutting off

    Hi, thanks for the great plugin!

    Quick question, I imagine the setting for gif allows for cut-off at a certain max limit. Looks to be either 8 or 9 seconds. I posted some gif’s from giphy and the ones that were 10 seconds don’t make it all the way to the end.

    Is there a way to adjust, or add a fix to allow extended time (or void this restriction all together)? I have oembed on a phpbb forum and there’s a file which allows custom settings, but didn’t see anything like that in your plug in, just wondering if there’s a way.

    Hi Nick, sorry for late reply – WP keeps failing to deliver notifications.

    There are no settings for Giphy gifs on our side. We use the exact iFrames from Giphy, so it might be on their side. If you give us an example of 10 secs gif, we’d try and check what’s going on.

    Here’s an example of one that cuts out when embedded on my site, but shows in full when you click the link.

    Thanks Nick. We use their default embed which indeed isn’t a complete gif. We’ll see if we can switch to a longer one – there’s a good chance we’ll figure it out soon.

    That’d be great! The issue is that readers often wouldn’t know that the gif isn’t complete and not bother to click.

    Hey Nick, so the issue with Giphy was resolved right away, however the older embeds were not updated automatically on your site. In the plugin’s v 0.4.0, the WP embeds caches are resolved and you should be all good now.
