Git error due to included .git files

More specifically, with SourceTree. The following error is triggered: “Not a git repository…” ** See screenshot **
This is due to some leftover git files. Rolling back to the previous version of GA by Yoast fixes this issue. As well as manually removing those hidden files. ** See Screenshot **
