Give Database Update stuck at 0%

    I have upgraded my Give WP plugin to Version 2.9.1. I’m running WordPress 5.5.1 .

    Give WP is telling me:

    Database Updates

    GiveWP is currently updating the database in the background.Pause Upgrades
    Update 1 of 1

    The admin sidebar says “Updates 0%”, and it’s been stuck there for days.

    I’ve tried to manually update, but nothing works.

    How can I fix this so that Give WP can be back to being fully operational?

    I could provide a Give WP system report, but this interface doesn’t seem to provide a way of uploading a file, and the report is probably too big for this text area.

    Glad you reached out here.

    Usually glitches with the database update routines are the result of caching or some other server-level issue.

    We’ve seen stalled database updates on a handful of customer sites. Here’s a document we wrote outlining all the ways we’ve seen that worked to correctly process the database updates: https://givewp.com/documentation/core/frequent-troubleshooting-issues/handling-database-update-issues/

    In the vast majority of cases, our customer issues are resolved following the steps there.
