    That’s really not nice, it seems that the author wants to collect backlinks.

    You can just edit the file:
    old-post-promoter/inc/kc-opp-core.php
    and comment/delete the lines:

    if ($givecredit) {
	$dateline.='Republished by  <a href="https://www.blogtrafficexchange.com/">Blog Post Promoter</a>';
}
