Hello, we are attempting to automatically apply a coupon based on a minimum quantity of matching products. Essentially, the deal is “Add 3+ items(any) to cart to auto apply this coupon and giveaway a free sample product”. Coupon also gives 15% off of the 3+ items in the cart.

The coupon applies when 3 items are in the cart, as it should, and adds the free sample product. The problem here is that when one of the products used to meet the MOQ is removed, the free sample still counts as one of the items in the cart, thus allowing the client to receive the product for free, without still having the 3+ items in the cart.

Note in the image below that there are 2 items in the cart (plus the sample) yet the coupon is still applying since the free sample is counting as one of the MOQ.

Is there a way around this behavior? This seems like a situation that wouldn’t be allowed in any promo code scenario, so I feel as though this would be considered a bug.

    Hi @jhurl123,

We have tested it and it works correctly in our dev environments. Removing 1 quantity is removing the coupon as well.

Refer the screen recording from our test site here.
