This is because they copied our code into their own plugin, but they forgot to include the class libraries to make it function properly.

I would recommend that you use our PayPal for WooCommerce plugin instead.

Is there a way to have your plugin (not the WC4JP version) show the Japanese version of the Paypal checkout page when the Paypal checkout button is clicked?

If your WordPress language / locale code is setup as “ja_JP” then that would be passed into the Express Checkout button URL so it would use that language. That locale code would also be passed in the API request to PayPal, so the checkout screen should be in the local language.

Yes, my site is set up in Japanese, but it’s still not working.

Here’s a screenshot. The language dropdown on the Paypal Checkout page only has Engligh, French, Spanish and Chinese…

Do you have logging enabled in the plugin? Can you provide the log for review?

My bad. The site language was in English by mistake. Now that I switched it to Japanese, and your plugin works like a charm.

It’s actually kinda sporadic. Sometimes the Paypay Checkout page returns in Japanese, other times in English… Not sure why…

That is handled at PayPal’s end, of course, so if it’s acting strangely you’ll need to submit a ticket directly to PayPal and see what they say about it. You can do that here.
